Pastor McFarland was saved at 12 years of age in a Baptist Vacation Bible
School, and was baptized into a Southern Baptist Church. When he was about 19 years old, he began to attend an Independent Baptist Church where he was taught the Word of God and as a result was baptized into Parkview Baptist Church. He became a faithful member, and taught the adult Sunday School class, led the song service, and was eventually ordained a deacon. However, that was not all the LORD wanted for him, and he was called into the ministry, and surrendered to that call in 1983. He sold his business and was called to pastor Parkview in May of 1984. He accepted their call and this year marks his 30th anniversary as pastor. He has studied with the Orthodox Baptist Institute, and has receive a degree in Biblical Theology from Cornerstone Baptist Bible College in Childress, Texas.
